Dr. Johnson is the Director for the University of Utah Institutional Review Board and Human Research Protection Program and an adjunct faculty member in the College of Nursing. She specializes in research ethics and is an expert in human subjects research regulations and requirements. She has been a leader in establishing a single IRB process. She is an active member of the research community, conducted research in the fields of public health and research ethics.
